I went to check on one of my books today that I donated to a library for patrons to read. I like to visit my books. I say hello and check in on their well being and display them so people will pick it up to read. I’m caring like that; my books are very important to me.
Tonight, however, I came across the following sabotage:
That’s right; someone spilled coffee all over it. And (not shown in the photos) there’s even some edge wear/peeling of the cover, along with the wrinkling you can see in the first photo.
I was not happy, to say the least. It was really disheartening to see something you’ve worked on for so long be treated so badly. I may email the library to see what can be done, but I don’t expect much to come out of it. Insert witty joke about death wishes and vendettas here. Has this happened to any of you other authors out there?
The day is over soon so I’ll be making up my biking tomorrow. Until tomorrow then. Day 12!
I’m sorry someone was disrespectful like that.
Thanks, Andrew. Still reading through your book (sorry I’ve been so slow about it). It’s nice and safe though; no coffee (tea) spills here. Oi vay, haha
You’re welcome. Hope you’re still enjoying it.
You bet. The villian just made an appearance…
