Author: Inspiring Writing Quote, Alice Walker✏️

“Deliver me from writers who say the way they live doesn’t matter. I’m not sure a bad person can write a good book. If art doesn’t make us better, then what on earth is it for.”

Horror Author: The Woman in Black (Susan Hill) Quote

“No, no, you have none of you any idea. This is all nonsense, fantasy, it is not like this. Nothing so blood-curdling and becreepered and crude – not so…so laughable. The truth is quite other, and altogether more terrible.”
― Susan Hill, The Woman in Black

One of my favorite horror books and films (the original 1989 version). Susan Hill is one of the greats. This scene in particular is one of my favorites; great for inspiration.

Inspiring Quotes, Ponderings

Remember the Titans: Gettysburg Scene

This movie scene popped in my head today as I was driving back from work, thinking about everything our country is going through currently. The quote one of the coaches says at the end popped into my head:

“I don’t care if you like each other or not, but you will respect each other.”

I’ve only seen this movie once, but I do remember this scene. America is a young country; our history fairly short. Let freedom ring. For everybody.

Author: Inspirational Quote (Dr. Keller)

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. Security does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than exposure.”

― Dr. Helen Keller

Taken from a National Geographic YouTube post: “March 2nd, 1887– Anne Sullivan starts teaching Helen Keller who was six at the time.”
