Book Update: Cover Reveal & Title

Above, you can see the cover of my upcoming book–Memory Bound. I finally feel comfortable releasing the cover for view as I (really, truly) believe publishing is very close at hand. A second editor is going through my narrative currently as a “last proof” edit and is also formatting my book for ebook and hard copy print. It’s definitely been a long journey but I’ve learned a lot.

The editor is hoping to get the book back to me before Halloween, but I’m not establishing a firm publication date at this point in time. Every time I’ve set a deadline, another step has popped up I need to complete. It’s become comical really, and is to be expected (I think) with one’s first book.

Or so I tell myself. With hands shaking and eyes twitching. Pass the wine, would you?

Here’s the working copy of my back cover. It’ll give you an idea if you’d like to give it a read or if it’s not your type of book (and that’s fine). Memory Bound is a horror novel with tough themes and an examination of truth and what it is. Or maybe after you read it, you’ll see it entirely differently. I like that–I really do. A book is like a painting. Viewers can see it a million different ways and none of them really are wrong. It’s such a beautiful thing how art speaks to us.

Do enjoy. Subscribe, follow me on the journey and tag along. More updates on this adventure of becoming an author will surely follow. And thank you to those who have already come.

There was something about a grand neglected house that didn’t bode well for visitors. It wanted retribution for its fall…

Anne Ditchfield is a woman of sound mind and morals, living a life warped by schizophrenia and fatigued by modern life drudgery and routines of survival. As an early retirement gift, Anne buys Myron-a historical mansion she plans to renovate as she continues her healing journey. Notices of a missing, local girl arrive soon after and Anne finds herself visited by police officers, roped into investigations and targeted by those claiming to still serve the Myron family. Will Anne be able to determine reality from fiction and figure out who is threatening her life? Or will Myron be taken away and Anne’s life with it? Memory Bound is a multi-dimensional, horror novel mixed with just the right amount of mystery to keep readers long entranced and wondering after the final, closing paragraph.
