My current read:
Rodzina, by Karen Cushman. She’s one of my all time favorite authors. Rodzina is a Polish American orphan on an orphan train out West, trying to find a family against her will. It’s full of Cushman’s poignant details mixed with the realities of being a 12 year old little girl in the 19th century. I have a feeling all these orphans, like Cushman’s other characters, are going to stick with me for a long time.
