Agreed. I submitted a poem recently to a Horror Writer’s Association contest from the perspective of someone staying holed up in that factory in Ukraine. Made me think of how they must’ve felt.
Very grim. Makes good horror, except it is the daily norm. Takes a little digesting, that.
Yes. I made it a bit vague and had my husband read it, and then I told him what I had been envisioning. Trying to build empathy with what’s going on basically.
