Blogmas Day 9: Sock it to Me πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸ§¦

Thirty more minutes goes into the cycling bank. I cycled once again with my favorite iFit trainer, Regan Pearce. I’ve adopted his native New Zealander saying he often says during our workouts: Kia kaha! It means stay strong. I want a fairy godmother (godfather?) version of him followingΒ  me around in life, motivating me while slipping me vegan snacks. I’m sure he doesn’t have anything better to do, am I right? πŸ˜‰

I ran out of time yesterday, so I doubled up my biking today. One hour and a few extra minutes for eating junk food yesterday. It was a weak moment.Β  Go team. πŸ˜πŸ‘

Blogmas Day 5: Cycling & Beautiful, Alive Writing πŸ‡¨πŸ‡΄πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ

If I need a dose of energy lately, I blast the Latin or Mexican music. Tonight, I listened to a lot of Shakira. I rediscovered a song of hers I used to listen to on repeat from her Live and Off the Record CD: Ojos AsΓ­ (Eyes like Those).

I love the passion of songs like these; it’s authentic and refreshing. The feelings are powerful and vulnerable. ArtΒ needs to beΒ wild, free and true. I strive to write this way. No books in a can, lazy formula plots or characters with puppet strings. Your story must have life!
