Author: SBSK Video Share (Erica’s Inspirational Story)

The longer I live, the more appreciative I am of the Encouragers. Encouragers are the ones who give off genuine light, positivity and leave judgment at the door.

Erica’s story and words of encouragement are below. Around the 7:44 marker, I feel like these words could apply to writing a novel, as she explains how she felt after completing  a marathon.

Keep going, Arcians. Stay the course.

Brief Humor & Check-Ins

Author: “Away with You, Mortal” (YT Humor Share)

I’ve been dealing with a particular breed of salespeople lately–Class D: Door to Door Solicitors. In America, they waltz right up to your door, knock loudly and ring doorbells. Their actions promptly wake up sleeping babies as they ignore posted warning signs and they release the hounds of doom to begin barking. They sell everything from politics, religion (I say this as a Christian) to tree cutting services. I understand people need to work, and we treat them with decency and polite firmness, but I don’t find this practice a good business model or even very polite.

The Saint and I recently bought two new No Solicitors signs from Etsy, as our old sign broke. We are putting these up in hopes to deter stealthy agents of capitalism. I’m also considering a moat with alligators and some zombie signs.

One day, though, I may just enact the following plan, as enacted in the beautiful video below. Who’s with me?

Ponderings

Indie Author: Disability Advocacy Petition (YouTube, SBSK)

So it’s been a rough week. I start to eat a late dinner and I come across the below. YouTube has disabled comments indiscriminately for some channels, including Special Books, Special Kids. The video is raw and emotional and explains the importance of these videos, and the comments from around the world, that show disabled adults and children they are loved, accepted and wanted.

Please consider signing the petition and/or sharing the video. Together I hope we can get the comments back and shout out some more love and acceptance. Thank you.

Indie Author: SMA & Spiranza Share (Disability Advocacy)

Shane and Hannah are an inter-abled couple I recently started following on YouTube. Disability advocacy, acceptance and whatever other terms apply are very important to me and are themes that tend to pop up in my writing, even if just a little. Shane is receiving shots for his condition (Spinal Muscular Atrophy, or SMA) from a drug called Spiranza.

They’re asking people to share the video to increase access to the drug and to also share the benefits it’s done for Shane.

So here we are. Enjoy, Arcians. Keep moving forward. ☺️

Indie Author: Sharing a Favorite YouTube Video (SBSK, Timmy)

Hi Arcians. Wanted to share one of my favorite videos on YouTube. If you have a chance, check it out and the other SBSK videos Chris does. A lot of the people he interviews are very inspiring to me and help remind me to persevere.

New writing contest coming up tomorrow, so stay tuned!

Novel Snippet: A Paragraph Reveal & Other Exciting Updates

Thank you for fifty subscribers! As a warm thank you to everyone, I’ve included a small paragraph snippet of my upcoming novel–M.B. I will be doing both a title reveal and a cover art reveal in the near future. My goal is to finish the edits this week, before Labor Day vacation ensues here in America. Please light a candle for me.

Some other quick updates. I will soon be launching my YouTube Channel–Peregrine Arc. I am putting together my writing office which will also serve as my recording studio area. I’m gathering up artwork that will be shown on the back wall of my filming area that’ll help create my writing nest and also add visual appeal. The Saint is helping me design this and put this together.

This week I’m also meeting with a business adviser to put together my own LLC and help with the business side of administering Peregrine Arc–my official writing platform and also the name of this website. I took a business class last weekend to get primed for this counseling session. Ready, set–let’s go.

Thank you to everyone who’s joined Peregrine Arc along the way and has been patient as I finished M.B. It’s been quite a learning process getting the foundation of indie writing down but I’m getting there. The blog is growing at a steady pace and I hope you’ve enjoyed reading another person’s thoughts.

And without further ado, here is a selected paragraph from the prologue for your reading pleasure. Please remember to like and subscribe if you’d like to continue on this merry ride with me. Happy writing!
