Blogmas Day 15: “Favorite Bible Verses” (Humor | Indie Author)

“This is Reginald Swinebottom presents. Welcome to Day 15 of Blogmas 2018. Grab your mittens and let’s get crackin’!”

Mr. Swinebottom waddles on stage, dressed like one of the three wise men. He appears to be in the middle of preparing for a Christmas play. He’s holding a stage prop painted to look like a container of myrhh. Instead of myrhh, however, there’s apparently cookies tucked away inside. He’s snacking on a few here and there and waving at people in the audience.

“Good evening! Tonight we’re sharing three of the author’s favorite Bible verses. It is Christmas after all, the holiday where we celebrate the Son of God’s birth. Happy birthday!

*Have your own favorite Bible verse? Leave them below! Agnostic or atheist? We’re still glad you’re here. If you want to know more about Jesus and Christianity, click¬†here. If not, we hope to see you tomorrow for Day 16 of Blogmas! Have a cookie–it’s on me.”

Consider reading these slowly and letting them digest. Repeat and stick with the words. Let them sink into your brain and heart and curl up like a cat full of tuna. Here we go…

1.) Very humbling and comforting at the same time. Proverbs.

2. One could meditate on this all day. The meaning of this is very deep.  Psalms.

Be Still

3. Psalm one. Picture a tree and read. The third and fourth lines really stand out to me. Psalms.
